DayCare Schedule – Mayflower Montessori

At Mayflower Montessori & DayCare, our daily schedule is thoughtfully designed to balance learning, play, rest, and care. We ensure children participate in both group activities and independent learning, helping them grow confidently at their own pace.

Morning Circle

– 9:00 AM

We begin the day with a warm welcome. Activities include greetings, daily routines, weather updates, introduction to letters and numbers, and an overview of the day’s activities.

Child Choice Time

 – 9:00 AM to 9:25 AM

Children engage in self-selected, age-appropriate activities that support overall development, along with guided activities facilitated by teachers.

Clean-Up Time

– 9:25 AM to 10:45 AM

Know More

Children learn responsibility and teamwork by participating in cleaning and organizing their classroom.

Story Time

– 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM

A fun and interactive storytelling session related to the current theme or curriculum, enhancing listening and imagination skills.

Snack Time

– 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM

Children enjoy healthy snacks in a safe and hygienic environment. Emphasis is placed on handwashing, self-serving, and cleaning up after eating.

Quiet / Rest Time

– 11:50 AM to 12:30 PM

A calm period with soft music to help children relax, recharge, and regain focus.

Group Activity / Circle Time

– 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM

Children participate in group activities like music, movement, show-and-tell, and discussions—encouraging communication and social skills.

Physical Activity

– 12:45 PM to 2:15 PM

Active playtime indoors or outdoors to support physical development, coordination, and overall well-being.

Dispersal Time

– 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM

Children prepare to go home, gather their belongings, and safely wait for pick-up.

Optional Lunch Program

– 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

An extended care option where children enjoy supervised lunchtime in a comfortable, homely environment.
